Listed details: dimensions 21.5″ L × 13.6″ W × 24″ H; item weight 5.7 pounds; material Bamboo, Cotton, Metal, Polyester; color Natural Beige.

The SONGMICS bamboo hamper is the largest footprint here: 21.5 inches wide, 13.6 deep and 24 high, or 2.03 sq ft, with a 26.4 gallon capacity. The listing describes 17 mm bamboo slats on a metal frame, a lid, handles and a foldable build. The removable inner bag is 160 g/m² cotton and the listing says it is machine washable. The listed weight is 5.7 pounds. The listing also states a load figure for the hamper, but the text we have is cut off, so check the number on the product page before relying on it.

Pros

• Removable 160 g/m² cotton inner bag that the listing says is machine washable.
• Foldable, per the listing, with bamboo slats on a metal frame.
• Handles and a lid, with a 26.4 gallon capacity.

Cons

• Largest footprint of the three: 2.03 sq ft, against 1.53 sq ft for the 85 liter model.
• The text we have does not say the bamboo is waterproof, unlike the other two listings.
• The load figure in the listing is cut off in our text, so the exact limit is unknown.

Who it is for / who should skip it: Pick it if you want a washable liner and a folding frame and have 2.03 sq ft of floor. Skip it if the spot is narrow or you need a stated waterproof finish.

2. Laundry Hamper with Lid,Bamboo Large Waterproof Clothes Laundry Basket,Removable Washing Bags with Handles, clothes basket (Natural) — Smallest listed footprint

Listed details: dimensions 16.9″ L × 13″ W × 26.4″ H; material Bamboo; color Natural.

This Laundry Hamper with Lid is the smallest listed footprint: 16.9 inches long, 13 wide and 26.4 high, or 1.53 sq ft, with an 85 liter (22.5 gallon) capacity. The listing says the outer frame is bamboo, the hamper is waterproof, and it has a lid and removable washing bags with handles. A separate inner pocket is removable and divides the space in two. The listing gives no item weight, no weight capacity and no care instructions for the bags in the text we have, and it does not say whether it folds.

Pros

• Smallest footprint: 1.53 sq ft, and the listing says it is waterproof.
• A removable inner pocket divides the space in two, which helps with sorting.
• Removable washing bags with handles for carrying laundry.

Cons

• The smallest listed capacity in liters: 85 liters, against 110 liters for the 2LB Depot.
• No item weight, weight capacity or bag care instructions appear in our text.
• The listing does not say whether it folds, so assume it stays full size when empty.

Who it is for / who should skip it: Pick it if floor space is the limit and you want to sort laundry into two sections. Skip it if you need the most capacity or a stated weight.

3. 2LB Depot Laundry Hamper – 25x20x13-Inch Waterproof Bamboo Laundry Basket with Lid – Clothes Hamper for Clothes, Versatile Storage for Blankets, Toys, Towels – Suitable for Home Organization -110L — Middle listed footprint

Listed details: dimensions 20.07″ L × 13.38″ W × 24.8″ H; item weight 2 pounds; material Bamboo; color Natural Brown.

The 2LB Depot hamper lists 20.07 inches long, 13.38 wide and 24.8 high, or 1.86 sq ft, with a 110 liter capacity and a 2 pound item weight. The title instead says 25x20x13 inches, which does not match, so verify the size before ordering. The listing says the bamboo is waterproof and that the lid has a metal hinge, contains odors and can hold extra items on top. It also suggests using it for blankets, toys, towels and shoes. The listing does not mention a removable liner, handles or a weight capacity in the text we have.

Pros

• Largest liter capacity listed: 110 liters, with a 2 pound item weight.
• A lid with a metal hinge that the listing says contains odors and can hold items on top.
• Listed as waterproof bamboo, which suits damp rooms like bathrooms.

Cons

• The title size (25x20x13 inches) conflicts with the listed dimensions (20.07 × 13.38 × 24.8), so verify before ordering.
• No removable liner or handles are mentioned in our text.
• No weight capacity is stated for the lid, even though the listing suggests storing items on top.

Who it is for / who should skip it: Pick it if you want the most capacity and a lid you can use for storage, once the size is confirmed. Skip it if you want a washable liner.

What to check before buying bamboo hamper

Choose a bamboo hamper by capacity per floor space, liner, moisture handling and what the lid is allowed to carry.

Capacity first. The listings mix units: 26.4 gallons (SONGMICS), 85 liters (22.5 gallons) and 110 liters. Using the second listing’s own pairing (85 ÷ 22.5 ≈ 3.8 liters per gallon), 26.4 gallons is about 100 liters (26.4 × 3.8). Per square foot of floor that is roughly 49 liters on 2.03 sq ft for the SONGMICS, 56 on 1.53 sq ft for the 85 liter model (85 ÷ 1.53) and 59 on 1.86 sq ft for the 110 liter one (110 ÷ 1.86).

Second, the liner. The SONGMICS has a removable cotton bag that the listing calls machine washable. The 85 liter model has removable washing bags with handles and an inner pocket that splits the space in two. The 110 liter listing mentions no liner in our text.

Third, moisture. The 85 liter and 110 liter listings both say waterproof, which matters in a bathroom. The SONGMICS text we have does not say waterproof.

Fourth, weight and folding. The SONGMICS is 5.7 pounds and foldable; the 110 liter model is 2 pounds; the 85 liter model gives no weight. The 110 liter listing says the lid can hold extra items, but states no weight limit, so keep the load on top light.

Fifth, verify conflicts. The 110 liter title says 25x20x13 inches against 20.07 × 13.38 × 24.8 in the dimensions, and the SONGMICS load figure is cut off in our text.

Decision rule: choose the SONGMICS for a washable cotton liner and a folding frame, the 85 liter model for the smallest footprint and a divided interior, and the 110 liter model for the most liters and a lid you can use for storage, once its size is confirmed.

Worked example: fit math for these three options

This worked example is our own planning arithmetic from the listed dimensions, not test results. The wall length and walkway width are assumed example values; replace them with your measurements.

Wall example. Assume 36 inches of clear wall.

• SONGMICS Bamboo Laundry Hamper with Lid: 36 − 13.6 = 22.4 inches spare; centred, 11.2 inches on each side before trim, plugs or curtains.
• Laundry Hamper with Lid: 36 − 13 = 23 inches spare; centred, 11.5 inches on each side before trim, plugs or curtains.
• 2LB Depot Laundry Hamper: 36 − 13.38 = 22.62 inches spare; centred, 11.31 inches on each side before trim, plugs or curtains.

Walkway example. The US Access Board gives 36 inches as the minimum clear width for an accessible route. That figure is a yardstick, not a rule for private homes. To keep 36 inches clear beside each product, the walkway between it and the opposite obstacle must be at least 36 inches plus its depth:

• SONGMICS Bamboo Laundry Hamper with Lid: 36 + 21.5 = 57.5 inches of total path width.
• Laundry Hamper with Lid: 36 + 16.9 = 52.9 inches of total path width.
• 2LB Depot Laundry Hamper: 36 + 20.07 = 56.07 inches of total path width.

Footprint. Depth × width, converted at 144 square inches per square foot:

• SONGMICS Bamboo Laundry Hamper with Lid: 21.5 × 13.6 = 292.4 sq in, or 2.03 sq ft.
• Laundry Hamper with Lid: 16.9 × 13 = 219.7 sq in, or 1.53 sq ft.
• 2LB Depot Laundry Hamper: 20.07 × 13.38 = 268.54 sq in, or 1.86 sq ft.

Mistakes to avoid

• Comparing gallons with liters. The SONGMICS lists 26.4 gallons while the others list 85 and 110 liters. Convert first; the 85 liter listing pairs 85 liters with 22.5 gallons.
• Trusting the title size. The 2LB Depot title says 25x20x13 inches, but its dimensions read 20.07 × 13.38 × 24.8. Verify the size before you plan the space.
• Stacking heavy items on the lid. The 110 liter listing suggests storing items on top but gives no weight limit. Keep the load light.
• Assuming every bamboo hamper has a washable liner. Only the SONGMICS listing says its cotton bag is machine washable. The 110 liter listing mentions no liner in our text.
