Its foam-and-velvet construction sits on a metal frame with three gold metal legs and non-slip pads. The listing recommends it for up to 200 pounds and says it can work as a vanity stool, footrest, shoe bench, or side table with a tray. Assembly requires fixing the three feet with nine screws; tools and instructions are included. Who it is for / who should skip it: Pick this if you want a velvet stool with several possible uses and a middle-listed footprint. Skip it if exact dimensions are important unless the seller confirms which measurements are correct.
2. Small Vanity Stool, Cute Vanity Stools with Cushion, White Makeup Vanity Chair for Small Spaces, Living Room, Bedroom, Bathroom, Entryway, Ottoman Foot Rest for Couch Sillas Modern — Largest listed footprint
Listed details: dimensions 15.7″ D × 11.8″ W × 17.7″ H; item weight 5.7 pounds; listed maximum weight 250 pounds; material Faux Leather; color White & Faux Leather.
This Small Vanity Stool has the largest listed footprint of the three at 1.29 square feet, with dimensions shown as 15.7 inches deep by 11.8 inches wide by 17.7 inches high. However, another listing bullet says 15 inches long by 11 inches wide by 15.7 inches high, so the measurements need confirmation. The white faux-leather design includes non-slip foot pads and is listed with a 250-pound maximum weight recommendation. It weighs 5.7 pounds, and the listing says setup is quick with included tools and instructions.
Pros
- Listed 250-pound maximum weight recommendation
- Faux-leather surface with non-slip foot pads
- Lightweight at 5.7 pounds, with tools and instructions included
Cons
- The listing provides two different sets of dimensions, including different heights
- It has the largest listed footprint at 1.29 square feet
- The listing does not state whether the seat height is adjustable
Who it is for / who should skip it: Pick this if you want a lightweight white faux-leather stool and can confirm the conflicting measurements. Skip it if you need a clearly documented size or an adjustable seat.
3. Adjustable Vanity Stool with Storage Swivel Vanity Chair Makeup — Smallest listed footprint
Listed details: dimensions 13″ D × 13″ W × 18″ H; item weight 9.3 pounds; listed maximum weight 350 pounds; material Leather; frame Metal; color White.
The Adjustable Vanity Stool with Storage Swivel has the smallest listed footprint at 1.17 square feet and an 18-inch listed seat height. Its 13-inch by 13-inch dimensions make it a compact choice for a makeup area, while the leather seat and metal frame are listed in white. The listing recommends it for up to 350 pounds and describes a gas-lift adjustment mechanism plus 360-degree swivel. It also identifies a 6.3-inch-thick seat and storage. The adjustment range is incomplete in the supplied listing, and assembly details are not stated.
Pros
- Smallest listed footprint at 1.17 square feet
- Listed 350-pound maximum weight recommendation with metal frame
- Adjustable gas lift, 360-degree swivel, and storage
Cons
- The listing does not provide the complete adjustable seat-height range
- At 9.3 pounds, it is heavier than the other two stools
- The listing does not state assembly requirements or storage dimensions
Who it is for / who should skip it: Pick this if you want the smallest listed footprint, swivel movement, storage, and the highest listed weight recommendation. Skip it if you need the complete adjustment range or detailed storage measurements before purchasing.
What to check before buying a makeup stool
Start with the space available beside the vanity. Compare the listed footprint, but check the actual listing when measurements conflict. The adjustable swivel stool is listed at 1.17 square feet, calculated from 13 inches × 13 inches ÷ 144; LUE BONA is listed at 1.26 square feet; and Small Vanity Stool is listed at 1.29 square feet. These are close, so do not assume the smallest difference will be noticeable. The LUE BONA and Small Vanity Stool listings contain conflicting measurements, so verify their dimensions before ranking them by fit.
Next, match seat height to the vanity. The listed heights are 17.5 inches for LUE BONA, 17.7 inches in one dimension set for Small Vanity Stool, and 18 inches for the adjustable stool. The adjustable stool is the best choice when you need to change height, but the supplied listing does not show the complete adjustment range. For the other two, measure the space under the vanity and compare it with the confirmed seat height.
Then consider the stated weight recommendation. The adjustable stool is listed at 350 pounds, Small Vanity Stool at 250 pounds, and LUE BONA at 200 pounds. Use these figures as listing recommendations, not as a substitute for checking the current product page. If you need a lighter stool to move around, Small Vanity Stool weighs 5.7 pounds, LUE BONA weighs 5.4 pounds, and the adjustable model weighs 9.3 pounds.
Finally, choose functions and surface materials. LUE BONA uses foam and velvet and can also serve as a footrest, shoe bench, or side table with a tray. Small Vanity Stool uses faux leather and has non-slip pads. The adjustable stool uses leather, storage, swivel movement, and a gas lift. Confirm assembly details, interior storage size, and missing specifications before ordering.
Sample fit math for these three stools
This is simple arithmetic from the listed dimensions, not test results. The wall length and walkway width are assumed sample values; replace them with your measurements.
Wall example. Assume 36 inches of clear wall.
- LUE BONA Vanity Stool: 36 − 14 = 22 inches spare; centred, 11 inches on each side before trim, plugs or curtains.
- Small Vanity Stool: 36 − 11.8 = 24.2 inches spare; centred, 12.1 inches on each side before trim, plugs or curtains.
- Adjustable Vanity Stool with Storage Swivel: 36 − 13 = 23 inches spare; centred, 11.5 inches on each side before trim, plugs or curtains.
Walkway example. The US Access Board gives 36 inches as the minimum clear width for an accessible route. That figure is a yardstick, not a rule for private homes. To keep 36 inches clear beside each product, the walkway between it and the opposite obstacle must be at least 36 inches plus its depth:
- LUE BONA Vanity Stool: 36 + 13 = 49 inches of total path width.
- Small Vanity Stool: 36 + 15.7 = 51.7 inches of total path width.
- Adjustable Vanity Stool with Storage Swivel: 36 + 13 = 49 inches of total path width.
Footprint. Depth × width, converted at 144 square inches per square foot:
- LUE BONA Vanity Stool: 13 × 14 = 182 sq in, or 1.26 sq ft.
- Small Vanity Stool: 15.7 × 11.8 = 185.26 sq in, or 1.29 sq ft.
- Adjustable Vanity Stool with Storage Swivel: 13 × 13 = 169 sq in, or 1.17 sq ft.
Mistakes to avoid
- Trusting one dimension set. LUE BONA and Small Vanity Stool each show conflicting measurements in the supplied listing. Compare the current product-page dimensions with your vanity clearance before ordering.
- Choosing by footprint alone. The listed footprints range only from 1.17 to 1.29 square feet, so seat height, clearance, and movement may matter more than the small footprint difference.
- Assuming adjustable means every height is documented. The swivel stool is described as adjustable, but the supplied listing does not provide its complete adjustment range. Confirm the lowest and highest settings first.
- Ignoring the stated weight recommendation. The products list different maximum recommendations: 200 pounds for LUE BONA, 250 pounds for Small Vanity Stool, and 350 pounds for the adjustable model. Select one that matches your needs and verify the current listing.
