A typical set is a table 24 to 36 inches across and two stools that tuck under it. Some have a lower shelf or a second tier on the table for storage. They are meant for a breakfast corner, a home bar or a studio, not a family meal.
The three listings we read give very different amounts of information. The VEVOR gives the table and stool sizes in a bullet. The Panana gives both in a bullet. The HOOBRO round set gives no dimensions in the text we read.
Table size and surface per person
The VEVOR table is 23.62 inches across and 36.02 inches high. Its area is 3.14 × (23.62 ÷ 2)² = 3.14 × 139.5 ≈ 438 square inches, or about 219 square inches per person for two. The Panana table is 36.2 inches wide and 19.3 inches deep, so its area is 36.2 × 19.3 ≈ 699 square inches, or about 349 per person.
As our own planning estimate, not a standard, two place settings with a shared dish want about 400 to 600 square inches. The VEVOR table is under that, and the Panana table is a little over it, but its 19.3 inch depth is shallow.

A 14 inch seat is tight for an adult. Neither listing gives a separate seat height for the VEVOR, so ask.
Seat height against the table
As our own rough estimate, a seat about 10 to 12 inches below the tabletop gives comfortable knee room. The Panana table is 36 inches high and the stools are 24 inches high, which leaves 36 − 24 = 12 inches. The VEVOR table is 36.02 inches high, so a seat of about 24 to 26 inches would fit, but its stool seat height is not stated.
Storage and shelves
The Panana table has three shelves and the HOOBRO round set has a two-tier table. The shelves hold glasses, bottles and a few items. The listing does not give a shelf load limit for either.
Open shelves add storage but take leg room under a small table.
Backs and footrests
The HOOBRO stools have backrests that the listing says conform to the waist curve, and round footrests. The VEVOR chairs have backs. The Panana stools are described as faux leather upholstered and padded. The Panana listing does not mention footrests in the text we read.
A footrest matters on a tall stool because your feet do not reach the floor.
Materials and weight
The VEVOR set is engineered wood, and the listing says the top is P2-grade particleboard certified by CARB and EPA, with controlled formaldehyde emissions. The Panana set is MDF on a powder-coated metal frame. The HOOBRO set is particleboard and metal. A worked example
These numbers are invented. A kitchen corner is 96 inches (8 feet) wide, and you can put the table against a wall.
Floor needed. For the Panana table against a wall with stools on the open side, the depth plus one pull-out zone of 24 inches (our estimate) is 19.3 + 24 = 43.3 inches, leaving 96 − 43.3 = 52.7 inches. For the VEVOR round table in the middle with stools on both sides, 23.62 + 48 = 71.62 inches leaves 96 − 71.62 = 24.38 inches, which is under the U.S. Access Board’s 36 inch route yardstick, a public-building reference and only a guide for a home.
Surface. From the arithmetic above, the VEVOR gives about 219 square inches per person and the Panana about 349.
Seat height. The Panana’s stools sit 12 inches below the table, within our range. The VEVOR’s cannot be checked.
Width. Two Panana stools at 14.6 inches take 29.2 inches of the 36.2 inch table edge, leaving 7 inches. They fit side by side.
The example shows that the two small sets differ more than their listings suggest: the rectangular one gives more surface and the round one takes more floor with stools out.
Red flags in listings
A set with no dimensions, a weight too light for the pieces, stool dimensions that give overall height only and shelves with no load limit are signs to ask. Also check the table height, because “bar height” and “counter height” both appear on small sets.
Who should skip a pub set
