Quick answer
For a wide screen that moves, the rolling six-panel is 132 by 72 inches with lockable wheels and privacy strips between panels. For one panel at a time, the 71 by 71 inch HDPE screen is the simplest. For a small modular panel, the DECOLAB is 29 by 65 inches, under 15 pounds, and joins to others with neodymium magnets that are sold separately. If your use is changing clothes or a video call, height and opacity matter more than width.

Room Divider, 6-Panel Folding Privacy Screen with Locking Wheels
The title and bullets describe thick opaque canvas, privacy strips between panels to avoid see-through gaps, smooth casters that lock and a folding structure that can be straight, angled or L-shaped. The table says 132 by 72 inches and six panels, but one bullet calls it a “4-panel folding design”, so confirm the count.
1-Panel 6 ft Tall Indoor Folding Room Divider
The table says 71 by 71 inches, one panel, HDPE fabric. The title ends with “(Black, 4-Panel)” and a bullet says four panels are attached by flexible buckles, which cannot be right for a one-panel listing, so the page appears to have mixed two products. The bullets promise non-see-through fabric, a powder-coated steel frame and wide feet.
DECOLAB Standing Wall Room Dividers, 29 x 65
A single steel-framed panel with a polyester fabric sleeve, 29 by 65 inches and under 15 pounds. A size strip on the page lists 29 by 65, 48 by 18 and 68 by 71 options. The page says each panel can be expanded with neodymium magnets sold separately, and that the fabric softens glare.
Worked example: how much privacy does the height give?
This is our own arithmetic, and the eye height is an assumption. Suppose a standing adult’s eye is at 66 inches.
| Screen | Height | Margin over a 66 in eye line |
|---|---|---|
| Six-panel rolling | 72 in | 6 in above |
| One-panel | 71 in | 5 in above |
| DECOLAB | 65 in | 1 in below |
The DECOLAB at 65 inches would let a person standing at 66 inches see over the top, which matters for a changing area and does not matter for a seated desk. For width, six 22 inch panels (132 / 6) can make a three-sided cubicle of about 66 by 44 by 44 inches, a space for a changing corner or a desk.
What privacy means here
The pages say opaque, non-see-through and privacy strips, which concern sight. None gives a sound rating. Fabric does absorb a little noise, but our sound sponge quiet divider guide covers products that claim to. If you want a screen that glows when lit from behind, see shoji screen divider.
Questions to ask the seller before you order
- How many panels does the screen have, and which size is the one I am buying?
- What is the weight, and can a single person move it?
- Do the wheels lock, and is there a brake on all of them?
- Does the fabric come off for washing?
- Can the screen be used on carpet without tipping?
After it arrives
Unfold the screen in the room where it will stand and zigzag it before you lock the wheels. Check that the privacy strips close the gaps between panels. Stand at the eye height of the person you want to hide from and check the sight line.
A second worked scenario: a changing corner in a bedroom
This is our own arithmetic and an example corner. A bedroom corner is 5 feet by 5 feet (60 by 60 inches), and the owner wants a three-sided changing space with an entry.
| Option | Calculation | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Six-panel rolling, panels 22 in | 3 panels x 22 = 66 in on one side | Wraps two walls of the corner with 6 panels |
| One-panel 71 in | One flat line | Covers one side only |
| DECOLAB 29 in panels | 60 / 29 = 2.1 | Three panels with magnets for a 87 in run |
A six-panel screen with 22 inch panels can form an L of 66 inches on each leg, which closes a 60 by 60 inch corner and leaves a gap for a door. A single panel at 71 inches would hide one side only. The DECOLAB at 65 inches high would not hide a standing person’s head if the eye line is 66 inches, as in our example, so it is a better fit for a desk or a seated area than for changing clothes.
Reading the listings critically
The word “folding” appears on pages for a screen that does not fold: the one-panel listing is titled as a folding divider, and its bullets describe flexible buckle connections for four panels, which suggests the text was copied from a four-panel product. When a page mixes details, rely on the table and ask the seller to confirm the count and the size in writing. The six-panel listing’s bullet that says “4-panel folding design” is a similar mix-up. A seller who corrects the listing is a good sign. A seller who cannot say how many panels you will get is a reason to buy elsewhere.
Wheels, feet and stability
Wheels make a screen easy to move and easy to nudge. Lockable casters stop the roll, but a screen on casters sits higher than one on feet and is more prone to wobble when pushed at the top. If you use a screen on carpet, the casters can sink and the screen can lean; a screen on wide feet is steadier. If you use it on hard floor, silent wheels reduce scratching. The six-panel page says the casters lock; it does not say how many, and the one-panel page lists feet only.
Where privacy screens do and do not work
A screen blocks sight but not sound or smell, and it does not offer security. It is a good answer for a shared room, a dressing area, a home office or a hospital bedside, as the VEVOR page says elsewhere. It is not a good answer for a window, where a curtain or a film does the job. For a divider that also gives light, see shoji screen divider. For a divider that carries storage, see room partition shelves.
Care
Wipe canvas with a damp cloth and dry it. Do not drag a screen across the floor on its feet; lift it or use the wheels. Fold it with the panels in the order the maker shows so that the hinges do not twist.
Before you order, write down the height you need and the width of the space, and compare them with the table line, not the title.
Mistakes to avoid
Trusting the panel count in a title. Two of the three pages mix numbers.
Putting a straight line on a rug. A zigzag is more stable.
Forgetting the height. A 65 inch screen is below many eye lines.
Treating a screen as soundproof. It is not claimed.
