1. ThreeHio 3 Pack Garage Wall Shelving, Heavy Duty Garage Shelves Wall Mount, Hanging Storage Rack Wire Shelving for Garage Organization Tool Organizer, Floating Shelves for Laundry Living Room Study — Smallest listed footprint

Listed details: dimensions 11.81″ D × 32.68″ W × 11.89″ H; material Metal; color Black.

The ThreeHio 3 Pack Garage Wall Shelving gives you three black wire shelves, each 32.68 inches long and 11.81 inches deep, with the data listing 11.89 inches high and 2.68 sq ft for one shelf. The bullets describe thickened solid metal with an anti-rust coating, a reinforced anti-wobble frame and detailed step-by-step instructions with the necessary parts. The title says heavy duty and wall mount. The listing text in the data is cut off before any load figure, so the weight capacity per shelf is not confirmed. It also says it can serve as a laundry room shelf or wall bookshelf.

Pros

• Three separate shelves of 32.68 x 11.81 inches, so you can space them on the wall as you like
• Thickened metal with an anti-rust coating and a reinforced anti-wobble frame, per the bullets
• Instructions and necessary parts are listed as included

Cons

• No load capacity is visible in the listing text, so it is unknown how much each shelf holds
• The wall type and stud spacing are not stated in the excerpt
• At 11.81 inches deep each shelf is slightly shallower than the 12-inch FLEXIMOUNTS, so check bin depth before buying

Who it is for / who should skip it: Pick it if you want three small shelves you can place individually on a garage wall. Skip it if you need a stated load or a stud-spacing guide.

2. FLEXIMOUNTS 12-inch-by-72-inch Wall Shelf Garage Storage Rack Wall Mounted Floating Shelves,1x6ft,Black, 2-Pack, Classic Series — Largest listed footprint

Listed details: dimensions 12″ D × 72″ W × 6.1″ H; item weight 26.4 pounds; color Black.

The FLEXIMOUNTS 12-inch-by-72-inch Wall Shelf is a black steel garage rack listed as a 2-pack of 1 x 6 ft shelves, 12 inches deep and 72 inches long, or 6 sq ft for one shelf. Each 6 ft shelf is made of two 1 x 3 ft shelves per tier. The bullets state a load of up to 900 lbs total and heavy gauge steel. The item weighs 26.4 pounds. It suits wood studs spaced 16, 18 or 24 inches, but can be installed only as separate pieces on 24-inch spacing, and it cannot be mounted to a metal wall.

Pros

• Stated load of up to 900 lbs total, with heavy gauge steel
• Fits wood studs at 16, 18 or 24 inch spacing
• Longest shelves here at 72 inches, with 12 inches of depth

Cons

• Cannot be mounted to a metal wall, and 24-inch studs allow separate installation only
• Largest footprint at 6 sq ft, with 72-inch shelves that need a long clear wall
• The 900 lbs is a total across the set, so the per-shelf limit is not stated

Who it is for / who should skip it: Pick it if you have a long wood-stud wall and need a stated total load. Skip it if the wall is metal or short.

3. Jusgym 4 Pack Wall Mounted Garage Shelving, 2x3ft, 1400lbs Integrated Grid — Middle listed footprint

Listed details: dimensions 45.37″ D × 17.5″ W × 9″ H; item weight 25 pounds; material Alloy Steel; color Black.

The Jusgym 4 Pack Wall Mounted Garage Shelving is a black steel mesh system, sold as four 2 x 3 ft shelves in the title and listed at 1400lbs. The data lists 45.37 inches deep, 17.5 inches wide and 9 inches high, or 5.51 sq ft, which does not match the 2 x 3 ft title, so verify the size. The bullets describe welded mesh that holds tires, sports gear, toolboxes and bins, and brackets that adapt to any wood stud layout. The load bullet is cut off after up to 35, so the per-bracket figure is unconfirmed. The listing mentions a 1-year limited warranty.

Pros

• 1400lbs in the title, and a welded mesh deck for tires, toolboxes and bins
• Brackets described as adapting to any wood stud layout
• Pack of 4 with a 1-year limited warranty

Cons

• The size in the data (45.37 x 17.5 x 9 inches) does not match the 2 x 3 ft in the title
• The per-bracket load is cut off in the bullet, so the 1400lbs total is unconfirmed
• The listing talks about wood studs only and does not say it works on other wall types

Who it is for / who should skip it: Pick it if you want mesh shelves for tires and bins and will confirm the size and per-shelf load first. Skip it if you cannot verify the dimensions.

What to check before buying garage wall shelving

Start with the wall. The FLEXIMOUNTS is the one listing that spells out wall rules: wood studs at 16, 18 or 24 inch spacing, separate installation only at 24 inches, and no metal wall. The Jusgym says its brackets adapt to any wood stud layout. The ThreeHio excerpt gives no wall guidance. Find your studs before you pick a brand. Next is the size. The ThreeHio shelves are 32.68 by 11.81 inches each, the FLEXIMOUNTS shelves are 72 by 12 inches, and the Jusgym title says 2 x 3 ft while its data lists 45.37 by 17.5 inches. Footprints in the data are 2.68, 6 and 5.51 sq ft, but those mix single shelves and packs, so do not rank by them. The Jusgym size conflict means you should check the listing before measuring a wall. Third is load. The FLEXIMOUNTS states up to 900 lbs total. The Jusgym title says 1400lbs, but the bullet is cut off after up to 35, so the per-bracket figure is not confirmed. The ThreeHio shows no number in its visible text. Divide any total by the number of shelves, and keep heavy items such as tires on the one with a stated rating. Fourth is the deck. The ThreeHio is a wire shelf, the Jusgym is welded mesh and the FLEXIMOUNTS is steel shelving made of two 1 x 3 ft shelves per tier. Mesh drains and lets air through, so it suits damp garages. Small items fall through wire or mesh, so use bins.

Worked example: fit math for these three options

This worked example is our own planning arithmetic from the listed dimensions, not test results. The wall length and walkway width are assumed example values; replace them with your measurements.

Wall example. Assume 84 inches of clear wall.

• ThreeHio 3 Pack Garage Wall Shelving: 84 − 32.68 = 51.32 inches spare; centred, 25.66 inches on each side before trim, plugs or curtains.
• FLEXIMOUNTS 12-inch-by-72-inch Wall Shelf Garage Storage: 84 − 72 = 12 inches spare; centred, 6 inches on each side before trim, plugs or curtains.
• Jusgym 4 Pack Wall Mounted Garage: 84 − 17.5 = 66.5 inches spare; centred, 33.25 inches on each side before trim, plugs or curtains.

Walkway example. The US Access Board gives 36 inches as the minimum clear width for an accessible route. That figure is a yardstick, not a rule for private homes. To keep 36 inches clear beside each product, the walkway between it and the opposite obstacle must be at least 36 inches plus its depth:

• ThreeHio 3 Pack Garage Wall Shelving: 36 + 11.81 = 47.81 inches of total path width.
• FLEXIMOUNTS 12-inch-by-72-inch Wall Shelf Garage Storage: 36 + 12 = 48 inches of total path width.
• Jusgym 4 Pack Wall Mounted Garage: 36 + 45.37 = 81.37 inches of total path width.

Footprint. Depth × width, converted at 144 square inches per square foot:

• ThreeHio 3 Pack Garage Wall Shelving: 11.81 × 32.68 = 385.95 sq in, or 2.68 sq ft.
• FLEXIMOUNTS 12-inch-by-72-inch Wall Shelf Garage Storage: 12 × 72 = 864 sq in, or 6 sq ft.
• Jusgym 4 Pack Wall Mounted Garage: 45.37 × 17.5 = 793.97 sq in, or 5.51 sq ft.

Mistakes to avoid

• Skipping the stud check. The FLEXIMOUNTS says it cannot be mounted to a metal wall and needs studs at 16, 18 or 24 inches. Find the studs first.
• Dividing the wrong total. The FLEXIMOUNTS 900 lbs is a total for the set, and the Jusgym 1400lbs is a title figure. Divide by shelf count to see the real limit.
• Trusting the Jusgym size. The title says 2 x 3 ft but the data lists 45.37 x 17.5 x 9 inches. Verify the dimensions.
• Comparing footprints across packs. The ThreeHio figure is one shelf, while the FLEXIMOUNTS figure is for a 72-inch shelf. Compare per-shelf size instead.
