The walnut options in this set are mostly open wine racks, not closed cabinets. For the most bottles per square foot of floor or counter, the WISUCART 69-bottle floor rack is the largest walnut option, at about 30 bottles per square foot of footprint. For a counter, the TRUDING 12-bottle wavy rack holds 12 bottles on about 0.7 square feet. For a wall, the Novabright pair is dark walnut toned and holds glasses rather than bottles. The only true cabinet here, the X-cosrack bar cabinet, is listed as Rustic Brown, not walnut. Each product card below gives the size and capacity as the listing states them, so check those figures before you choose.

What walnut means on these listings

Five of the six products below list a walnut or dark walnut color: the Thalomely rack (“3 Tiers Walnut”), two TRUDING racks (“Walnut”), the WISUCART rack (“Walnut”) and the Novabright pair (“Dark Walnut Color”). These are the seller’s color names. None of them comes with a swatch, so compare the photos on each product page if the exact tone matters to you.

The X-cosrack is included for contrast. It is a bar cabinet, and its color is listed as Rustic Brown, which is a brown but not a walnut name. Read its card before you assume it matches the other pieces.

Racks or cabinets: what changes

An open rack shows every bottle and takes up only the space its shelves need. A cabinet hides bottles and adds depth for glasses, mixers and other bar items. In this set, the cabinet holds far fewer bottles for the floor it uses, so it fits a bar setup better than a wine collection. For a bar cart on its own, see bar cart options.

Wall-mounted racks use no counter or floor at all. They suit glass storage and short bottle rows, but they hold far less than a floor rack. For more glass storage ideas, see drinking glasses organizers.

Compare by bottles per square foot

To compare footprints fairly, divide each rack’s bottle count by the floor or counter area its base covers. Multiply width by depth to get square inches, then divide by 144 for square feet. The table uses the listed dimensions only.

Rack Listed bottles Base (inches, D x W) Base area (sq ft) Bottles per sq ft
Thalomely bamboo rack, 3 tiers 12 9.52 x 17.12 1.13 10.6
TRUDING wavy rack, 3 tiers 12 6.2 x 16.6 0.71 16.8
TRUDING wavy rack, 4 tiers 14 6.2 x 16.6 0.71 19.6
WISUCART bamboo floor rack 69 10 x 33.5 2.33 29.7
X-cosrack bar cabinet 5 in the wine rack 13.4 x 23.6 2.20 2.3

The arithmetic shows the gap clearly. The 14-bottle TRUDING rack uses about 0.71 square feet, so 14 divided by 0.71 is about 19.6 bottles per square foot. The X-cosrack uses about 2.20 square feet for 5 bottles, which is about 2.3 bottles per square foot. If bottle count is the main need, the cabinet gives the least bottles for its footprint in this table. The Novabright racks are left out of this table because they are wall-mounted and their base area does not apply.

Worked example: a 12-bottle rack on a counter

Take the 12-bottle TRUDING wavy rack, whose base is 6.2 by 16.6 inches. Multiplying gives 102.92 square inches, and dividing by 144 gives about 0.715 square feet. Twelve bottles divided by 0.715 square feet is about 16.8 bottles per square foot, which matches the table.

Which walnut piece fits which space

  • Most bottles on the floor: the WISUCART rack is 41 inches tall and holds 69 bottles, with six large bottles at the bottom and seven tiers of nine. The listing says it stacks for a larger rack.
  • A small counter with a few bottles: the TRUDING 12-bottle rack is 8.6 inches tall and holds 12 bottles on 3 tiers. The 14-bottle version is 10.2 inches tall and holds 14 on 4 tiers.
  • A countertop with 12 bottles: the Thalomely rack holds 4 bottles per tier on 3 tiers, and is 11.81 inches tall. Its base is larger than the TRUDING 12-bottle rack, so it uses more counter per bottle.
  • A wall without counter space: the Novabright pair holds 8 to 12 glasses per rack, or 16 to 24 glasses across the two.
  • A bar setup with glasses and a cabinet: the X-cosrack holds 5 bottles in its detachable rack and up to 8 glasses in its holder. For an L-shaped layout, see L-shaped bar carts.

Checks before you buy

  • Bottle size. The 12-bottle TRUDING rack lists 8 slots on the lower tiers for standard bottles and 4 on the top for oversized bottles. The 14-bottle version lists 11 lower slots and 3 top slots. Neither listing gives the slot width, so measure your widest bottle before you buy.
  • Weight. Four listings do not state a weight capacity: the Thalomely rack, both TRUDING racks and the WISUCART rack. The Novabright shelves are listed at up to 33 pounds each, and the X-cosrack at 330 pounds maximum.
  • Tools. The TRUDING listings say a Phillips screwdriver is not included. The Thalomely listing says all necessary tools come with the rack.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a walnut wine cabinet with wine storage in this set?

No closed cabinet here is listed in walnut with wine storage. The only cabinet that stores wine, the X-cosrack, is listed as Rustic Brown. A walnut sideboard that came up in the same set is left out, because its listing does not mention wine.

How many bottles fit in the walnut floor rack?

The WISUCART rack lists 69 bottles: 6 large bottles at the bottom and 7 tiers of 9 bottles each. That is 6 plus 63, which makes 69. It stands 41 inches tall and takes about 2.3 square feet of floor.

Do these walnut racks need tools?

The TRUDING racks come with screws, but a Phillips screwdriver is not included. Per the Thalomely listing, the rack ships with every tool needed. The WISUCART listing does not say what assembly needs.
