1. MAXIJIN Waterproof Couch Cushion Covers Stretch Sofa Seat Slipcovers Washable，Sectional Outdoor Cushion Covers with Elastic Bottom for Dogs Pets Kids (3 Pc Cushion Cover, Dark Gray) — Smallest listed footprint

Listed details: dimensions 2″ D × 19″ W × 19″ H; item weight 0.79 kg; material Polyester Blend; color Dark Gray.

The MAXIJIN Waterproof Couch Cushion Covers are a set of 3 stretch covers in dark gray polyester blend with a modern style. The bullets describe a waterproof layer coated on the top and backed with a TPU membrane. Each cover is listed as fitting cushions 19″-30″ in length, 19″-30″ in width and 2″-12″ in thickness, and the dimension field of 2″ D × 19″ W × 19″ H looks like the low end of that range. The bullets add an elastic bottom to stop sliding and machine washing in cold water. The specs list 0.79 kg. It is sold as cushion covers, not full furniture slipcovers.

Pros

• Waterproof coating on top plus a TPU membrane backing, described as double protection.
• Fits a stated range of 19″-30″ long, 19″-30″ wide and 2″-12″ thick per cover.
• Elastic bottom keeps it from sliding, and the listing says it is machine washable in cold water.

Cons

• The dimension field (2″ D × 19″ W × 19″ H, 0.26 sq ft) reflects the smallest size in the stretch range, so we do not use it to rank footprint.
• Washing has rules: cold water or below 30 degrees Celsius, and not with the coating facing outwards.
• These are cushion covers only, so the listing does not cover a whole sofa frame or a backrest.

Who it is for / who should skip it: Pick it if you want waterproof covers for loose seat cushions with a wide stated size range. Skip it if you need to cover a full piece of furniture.

2. 3 Pieces Outdoor Cushion Covers Stretch Patio Seat Slipcovers — Middle listed footprint

Listed details: dimensions 36″ L × 18″ W; material Polyester; color Navy Blue.

The 3 Pieces Outdoor Cushion Covers Stretch Patio Seat Slipcovers set comes in navy blue polyester. The pack has 1 loveseat or bench cover for cushions 36-40″ long and 18-22″ wide, plus 2 single sofa or chair covers for cushions 18-22″ long, with the rest of that width range cut off in the listing data. The dimension field gives 36″ L × 18″ W, or 4.5 sq ft. The bullets say the fabric is 92% polyester fiber and 8% spandex, described as waterproof, with an elastic back strap for quick on and off. The listing says they protect from spills, stains and pet hair.

Pros

• One loveseat or bench cover and two single covers in one pack.
• 92% polyester and 8% spandex fabric is described as waterproof and stretchy.
• Elastic back strap makes the covers quick to put on and take off.

Cons

• Item weight is not stated, and the single cover’s second dimension is cut off in the listing data, so check the listing.
• These are patio seat cushion covers, not full outdoor furniture slipcovers, so the keyword match is loose.
• Only navy blue is listed, and the excerpt gives no washing instructions.

Who it is for / who should skip it: Pick it if you want a loveseat cover plus two single covers in one pack. Skip it if you need washing instructions or full-furniture coverage.

3. 8Pcs Outdoor Cushion Covers, Stretch Patio Furniture Couch Chair Slipcovers — Largest listed footprint

Listed details: dimensions 27″ D × 27″ W × 8″ H; item weight 1.28 kg; material Polyester; color Black.

The 8Pcs Outdoor Cushion Covers set comes in black with a Square-large style, made of 95% polyester and 5% spandex. The listing gives 27″ D × 27″ W × 8″ H, or 5.06 sq ft, the largest footprint of the three, and 1.28 kg for the pack. The bullets say the stretch-fit design suits most patio and indoor cushions, with a sun-proof, color-fading-proof build that blocks UV rays. Back elastic straps hold the covers on. The listing says they fit sofa cushions, kitchen chairs and RV cushions. It does not state waterproofing in the excerpt we have.

Pros

• Eight pieces in one pack, the most of the three.
• Described as sun-proof and color-fading-proof, with UV rays blocked.
• Back elastic straps, and the listing says the covers fit sofa cushions, kitchen chairs and RV cushions.

Cons

• The excerpt we have does not state that the fabric is waterproof, which is the point of this keyword; check the listing.
• The listing says it is for patio and indoor cushions, so it is a cushion cover, not a full furniture slipcover.
• Multi-size combos are mentioned but the sizes are not given in the listing data, so the 27″ × 27″ × 8″ field may not match every piece.

Who it is for / who should skip it: Pick it if you want many sun-resistant covers for patio, kitchen or RV cushions. Skip it if waterproofing is the main requirement and you cannot confirm it on the listing.

What to check before buying waterproof outdoor slipcovers

Start with what the keyword asks for, waterproof protection. MAXIJIN describes a waterproof coating on top with a TPU membrane. The 3-piece navy set calls its fabric waterproof. The 8-piece set describes sun-proof and UV-blocking fabric, and the excerpt we have does not say waterproof, so check that listing.

Second, what is being covered. All three are cushion covers, not full furniture slipcovers. MAXIJIN lists cushions 19″-30″ long, 19″-30″ wide and 2″-12″ thick. The navy set has one 36-40″ × 18-22″ loveseat cover and two single covers 18-22″ long. The 8-piece set lists 27″ D × 27″ W × 8″ H. Measure your cushions before you buy.

Third, piece count. MAXIJIN has 3 covers, the navy set has 3 covers of two kinds, and the 8-piece set has 8.

Fourth, fabric. MAXIJIN is a polyester blend, the navy set is 92% polyester and 8% spandex, and the 8-piece set is 95% polyester and 5% spandex.

Fifth, holding and care. MAXIJIN has an elastic bottom and cold machine washing, with the coating facing inwards. The other two use elastic back straps. Only MAXIJIN states washing rules in the listing data.

Sixth, weight. MAXIJIN lists 0.79 kg and the 8-piece set lists 1.28 kg.

Worked example: fit math for these three options

This worked example is our own planning arithmetic from the listed dimensions, not test results. The wall length and walkway width are assumed example values; replace them with your measurements.

Wall example. Assume 48 inches of clear wall.

• MAXIJIN Waterproof Couch Cushion Covers Stretch: 48 − 19 = 29 inches spare; centred, 14.5 inches on each side before trim, plugs or curtains.
• 3 Pieces Outdoor Cushion Covers Stretch: 48 − 18 = 30 inches spare; centred, 15 inches on each side before trim, plugs or curtains.
• 8Pcs Outdoor Cushion Covers: 48 − 27 = 21 inches spare; centred, 10.5 inches on each side before trim, plugs or curtains.

Walkway example. The US Access Board gives 36 inches as the minimum clear width for an accessible route. That figure is a yardstick, not a rule for private homes. To keep 36 inches clear beside each product, the walkway between it and the opposite obstacle must be at least 36 inches plus its depth:

• MAXIJIN Waterproof Couch Cushion Covers Stretch: 36 + 2 = 38 inches of total path width.
• 3 Pieces Outdoor Cushion Covers Stretch: 36 + 36 = 72 inches of total path width.
• 8Pcs Outdoor Cushion Covers: 36 + 27 = 63 inches of total path width.

Footprint. Depth × width, converted at 144 square inches per square foot:

• MAXIJIN Waterproof Couch Cushion Covers Stretch: 2 × 19 = 38 sq in, or 0.26 sq ft.
• 3 Pieces Outdoor Cushion Covers Stretch: 36 × 18 = 648 sq in, or 4.5 sq ft.
• 8Pcs Outdoor Cushion Covers: 27 × 27 = 729 sq in, or 5.06 sq ft.

Mistakes to avoid

• Assuming sun-proof means waterproof. The 8-piece listing describes UV blocking, and the excerpt does not state waterproof. Check it before buying for rain.
• Buying slipcovers when these are cushion covers. All three fit cushions, not a whole sofa frame. Measure each cushion’s length, width and thickness.
• Using the dimension field as the fit. MAXIJIN’s 2″ D × 19″ W × 19″ H is the low end of its 19″-30″ stretch range, so it does not describe every cushion it fits.
• Washing a coated cover the wrong way. MAXIJIN says to wash in cold water or below 30 degrees Celsius and not with the coating facing outwards.
