What to check before buying oak hallway storage

‘Oak hallway storage’ sounds like solid oak, but all three listings give engineered wood. The Smuxee and Vrullu use MDF with an oak color, and the Akxomel uses an engineered wood frame with a natural oak color and solid wood legs. Read the Material fields, not the color name, if oak wood matters.

First, decide what you need to store. The Smuxee and Vrullu are 30.5″ to 30.6″ tall cabinets with 3 and 2 shelves. The Akxomel is a 20″ bench with a three-position shelf for shoes. If you want a place to sit and put on shoes, the Akxomel is the only one with a seat. If you need to store bags, boxes or linens, the cabinets give more room.
