Quick answer
The pages agree on the base: independent head incline of 0 to 60 degrees, foot incline of 0 to 45 degrees, a wireless remote with a flashlight and a programmable memory button, dual USB charging stations; two pages also state a 750 pound weight limit. They differ in the bundle: a medium-plush or firm 10 inch gel memory foam mattress, or a bamboo-charcoal one. The split king pages need two Twin XL bases, and one of them prints dimensions that cannot be a real layout (159 by 75 inches), which is a reason to read the bundle contents before you order.

LUCID 10 Inch Medium Gel Memory Foam Mattress and L300 Adjustable Base (Full)
The title lists the bundle, and the table gives 74.5 by 52.5 by 15 inches with a 750 pound weight capacity. The bullets promise a 10 inch medium-plush mattress compressed and shipped in a box, a “first-ever folding hinge” that makes shipping cheaper and assembly effortless, a remote with flashlight and memory, and dual USB ports on both sides. The 15 inch figure is a thickness for the whole bundle on the page’s table; it does not say how much belongs to the base and how much to the mattress, so we do not treat it as the frame height.
LUCID 10 Inch Firm Gel Memory Foam Mattress and L300 Adjustable Base, Split King
This page lists the same bullets with a firm mattress and a split king size. The table shows “Size Twin XL” next to “Size Split King”, which fits the idea that a split king is two Twin XL pieces. The dimensions are given as 159 by 75 by 15 inches. A twin XL mattress is 38 by 80 inches by the Amerisleep chart we opened, so two side by side are 76 by 80; 159 looks like two 80 inch lengths added together and 75 like two widths added, which is not a layout anyone would use. That is our reading of an oddity, not a statement from the seller. Ask the seller for the real footprint of each base.
LUCID L300 Adjustable Bed Base with 10 Inch Memory Foam Mattress, Split King
The third page’s bullets say you can “turn your adjustable base into a split king setup” by pairing two Twin XL bases with two Twin XL mattresses, which implies that one purchase may cover only half the bed. Check whether the listing includes one or two bases and mattresses before checking out. The bullets describe independent head and foot incline, dual USB, a backlit wireless remote with programmable memory and a flashlight, and a 10 inch all-foam mattress with comfort foam and memory foam layers.
Sizing example: does the full base match a full mattress?
A full mattress is 54 by 75 inches by the Amerisleep chart. The full bundle’s page lists 52.5 by 74.5 inches, so by our arithmetic the base is 1.5 inches narrower and 0.5 inches shorter than the mattress it carries. A memory foam mattress is flexible, so a small overhang is unlikely to be a problem, but it means the mattress edges are not supported by the base. For two sleepers on a full, that matters most at the edge where you sit to put on shoes.
For the split king, two Twin XL bases at 38 inches wide each give 76 inches across. A split king mattress pair is also 76 inches across, so a pair of bases is the right match for the pair of mattresses if each base is close to 38 by 80. The weight limit then needs a read: the pages give 750 pounds, and we do not know if that is per base or for the bundle. Ask.
What the pages do not say
Under-bed clearance. We did not find a clearance figure on the three pages. If you plan to store things under the base, ask for the leg height.
Whether the base fits inside a frame. The pages talk about a “folding hinge” and assembly, not frames. Our adjustable mattress base guide discusses frames that suit a motorized base, and bed frames for sleep number beds shows how one mattress maker restricts them.
The mattress warranty. A memory foam mattress on an adjustable base needs to flex; check the maker’s rule. Amerisleep’s guide to adjustable beds and mattresses, which we opened, says the mattress must be able to bend with the base.
Noise. The page calls the motor “quiet”, which is a claim we cannot check.
Head incline numbers in practice
A head incline of 0 to 60 degrees and a foot incline of 0 to 45 degrees are the page’s figures. For a rough sense of the geometry, if the head section is about 30 inches long (our assumption, the pages do not say), a 60 degree incline raises the top end by about 30 x sin(60) = 26 inches. That is our arithmetic and it is only a guide, but it explains why a headboard that is fixed to the wall can interfere with a raised head section. Our headboard for adjustable bed guide covers wall-mounted and frame-mounted choices.
Who it suits
A bundle suits someone who needs both a base and a mattress and has a plain, flat platform or the floor to put it on. If you already own a mattress, check whether the base is sold alone; the pages we read were bundles, so confirm what ships on the page you open. If you share a bed and want separate settings, the split king takes two bases; a full cannot.
A sizing scenario: a split king for two sleepers
Here is the arithmetic. Two sleepers want separate head and foot positions. A split king uses two Twin XL bases at 38 inches wide each, 76 inches across together, and 80 inches long by the Amerisleep chart we opened. The firm bundle’s page lists a 750 pound weight limit. If that limit is per base, each sleeper has 750 pounds. If it is for the bundle, the pair share 750 pounds, which for two adults of 200 pounds each plus 10 inch mattresses at about 70 pounds each leaves 750 – (400 + 140) = 210 pounds of margin. Both readings are comfortable for most people, but the question is cheap to ask and worth asking.
Questions to ask the seller before you order
- How many bases and mattresses are in the box?
- What is the actual footprint of each base?
- What is the weight limit per base?
- How high is the base from the floor to the top of the deck, without the mattress?
- Does the base have a wall-hugging mode, so the head can rise without hitting the wall?
Mistakes to avoid
Reading the 15 inch thickness as the base height. The page does not separate base and mattress.
Ordering a split king without checking the count. The bundle may be one base.
Trusting 159 by 75 inches. The number cannot be a layout.
Mounting a fixed headboard behind a base that rises. Check the gap.
