Quick answer
A queen mattress is 60 by 80 inches per Amerisleep. The three white frames below are 60.5 to 63.15 inches wide and 83.18 to 85.2 inches long, so each is wider and longer than the mattress by 0.5 to 3.15 inches in width. Their heights are 16.53, 39.4 and 40.7 inches, which suggests one low frame and two with headboards, though the text we read does not say so for the lowest. None of the three tables states a weight rating, and the bullets read like template text. Treat the numbers as the facts and ask the seller for the rest.
What “wooden” can mean in a listing
The material row is the one to read. The three listings give:
- “Wood” with no further detail.
- “Pine Wood.”
- “MDF, Pine, Plywood.” MDF is a board made from wood fibers, and plywood is layered veneer; both are wood-based, not solid boards.
A listing that says only “wood” tells you nothing about whether the frame is solid boards, a veneer over board or a laminate. White finishes are paint or a laminate over the base material; none of the three says which. For a deeper look at what solid wood means in a frame, see our solid wood bed frame guide.
Worked example: width and wall above the headboard
This is our own arithmetic.
| Frame | Width | Width minus 60 | Height | Wall above in a 96 in room |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kartivo, no headboard stated | 62.5 in | +2.5 in | 39.4 in | 96 − 39.4 = 56.6 in |
| Kartivo with headboard and LED | 60.5 in | +0.5 in | 40.7 in | 96 − 40.7 = 55.3 in |
| Kartivo LED, low | 63.15 in | +3.15 in | 16.53 in | 96 − 16.53 = 79.47 in |
The first listing’s title does not mention a headboard, yet its height is 39.4 inches, so something tall is part of the frame; the title and the height do not agree, and we cannot tell which is right. The second has the headboard in its title and a height of 40.7 inches. The third is 16.53 inches tall, which fits a low bed.
Floor area. The first frame is 85.2 by 62.5 inches, which is 36.98 square feet; the second, 83.3 by 60.5 inches, 35.0 square feet; the third, 83.18 by 63.15 inches, 36.48 square feet. The mattress alone is 33.3 square feet per Amerisleep.
What the listings say
Kartivo Queen Bed Frame, Wood Platform Bed, No Box Spring Needed, White (ASIN B0HG915DZP). The table gives 85.2 by 62.5 by 39.4 inches, a weight of 86 pounds and material “Wood”, white. The bullets are mostly template text; they say the frame needs no box spring and tell you to review the images, measure your doorway and check the included parts. Best for: someone who wants the heaviest of the three and will confirm details with the seller. Watch out: the bullets tell you to check the photos for “exact placement and configuration”, which means the listing itself does not state it.
Kartivo Queen Bed Frame with Headboard, Wood Platform Bed, LED Lights, Farmhouse Style, White (ASIN B0HGYNCJK1). The table gives 83.3 by 60.5 by 40.7 inches, a weight of 67.2 pounds and pine wood. The bullets say the frame includes a headboard and LED lighting, with the same template wording as above. Best for: a farmhouse-style white bed with a headboard at the closest width to the mattress. Watch out: LED lights add a power cord and a switch; the text we read does not describe either.
Kartivo Queen Bed Frame, Wood Platform Bed, LED Lights, No Box Spring Needed, White (ASIN B0HGYTV3D7). The table gives 83.18 by 63.15 by 16.53 inches, a weight of 43 pounds and material “MDF, Pine, Plywood”. The bullets say it includes LED lighting and needs no box spring. Best for: a lighter, lower white frame. Watch out: no rating and no description of how the LED is powered.
How the three compare

| B0HG915DZP | Wood | 39.4 in | 86 lb | Not stated in title |
| B0HGYNCJK1 | Pine wood | 40.7 in | 67.2 lb | Yes, with LED |
| B0HGYTV3D7 | MDF, pine, plywood | 16.53 in | 43 lb | Not stated |
Questions to send the seller
None of the three listings answers these, so send them before you order:
- What is the weight rating, in pounds? The tables give none.
- Is the white finish paint, laminate or veneer, and is the frame solid wood, MDF or plywood?
- Is a headboard included, and how tall is it? The first listing’s title and height disagree.
- For the LED models, how is it powered, and is there an electrical safety listing?
- How many cartons does it ship in, and how many people are needed to assemble it? At 86 pounds, the first frame is a two-person job.
Keep the answers with your order.
How to choose
Decide whether you want a headboard. If you want a plain white frame and a separate headboard, choose the lowest; see headboards for queen beds.
Decide how much weight you can move. 43, 67.2 and 86 pounds are quite different carries.
Check the width. A frame 3.15 inches wider than the mattress takes more wall; use the table above.
Check the finish. White shows marks; ask what the surface is.
Fitting the bed to the wall
White frames are often chosen to blend with a white wall, which makes the width and the nightstands matter. Take a 120 inch wall (10 feet, our example). The widest frame above is 63.15 inches, and two 18 inch nightstands (an assumption) add 36 inches, for 99.15 inches in total. That leaves 20.85 inches, which is 10.4 inches on each side if everything is centered. With the narrowest frame, 60.5 inches, the same arrangement leaves 23.5 inches in total, 11.75 on each side.
The difference of 2.65 inches in frame width (63.15 minus 60.5) is small, but it decides whether a bedside lamp has room or the nightstand touches the wall. If the frame has LED lights, check where the cable runs and whether a nightstand will block it.
Mistakes to avoid
Buying from the photos. The listing text says to check them, so the text itself is incomplete.
Treating “wood” as solid wood. The material row can mean board.
Ignoring the power cord. Two of the three have LED lighting.
Skipping the rating. None of the tables states one.
A crude way to compare the three is weight per square foot of footprint, our own measure and not a quality score. The first frame is 86 pounds over 36.98 square feet, 2.33 pounds per square foot; the second, 67.2 over 35.0, 1.92; the third, 43 over 36.48, 1.18. The first has about twice as much material per square foot of floor as the third, which may be due to a taller headboard and thicker boards, but the listings do not say. Use the numbers only as a prompt to ask what the frame is made of.
The listings also carry the same template wording, which tells you to review the images and check the included parts. That is a sign the seller’s text was generated from the product data and not written by someone who handled the bed, so the dimensions and weight are the parts to trust and the feature descriptions are the parts to question.
When a different frame is better
If you want a white frame in steel, see black metal bed frame for the structure, or full mattress frame for a white steel full frame we read. For an upholstered white or beige look, see bed upholstered. For a plain wood base, see queen wooden bed base.
Frequently asked questions
Is a white wooden bed frame solid wood?
It depends. The three listings give “Wood”, “Pine Wood” and “MDF, Pine, Plywood”. Only the middle one names a solid species.
How wide is a queen white wooden frame?
60.5, 62.5 and 63.15 inches for the three above, against a mattress 60 inches wide.
How heavy are they?
43, 67.2 and 86 pounds.
Do white wooden frames need a box spring?
The listings say no box spring is needed.
Are the LED lights safe?
The listings do not say. Ask the seller for an electrical safety listing before you plug anything in.
What does the listing not tell me?
A weight rating, the finish, the headboard height for the first frame and how the lights are powered.
