Two of the three listings let you flip the chaise, and one of those two also lists a left-hand-facing orientation. Confirm the definition of left in the listing’s diagram, because brands do not always draw it the same way.

A 12 by 14 ft room is 144 x 168 in, or 24,192 sq in. This room is an example we chose, not a standard. Use the width times the depth, and read the title when the table swaps the two.

Check the arithmetic: 83 x 54.3 = 4,507 sq in and 4,507 / 24,192 = 0.186. And 78.74 x 49.21 = 3,875 sq in, divided by 24,192 is 0.160. For the third, 98 x 90 = 8,820 sq in, and 8,820 / 24,192 = 0.365.

For scale, a king mattress is 76 by 80 inches, or 6,080 sq in, according to Casper’s mattress size guide. The opened 6-in-1 is 8,820 / 6,080 = 1.45 times that area. So if you plan to open it as a bed, you need a clear floor much bigger than the sofa’s footprint. The listing’s size field reads Medium mattress 98 x 90 x 4.5 inches, while another field reads 19.1 x 42 x 65 inches, so the page lists two sizes and does not say which is the sofa, so ask before you rely on 98 x 90.

The boxes overstate an L, because the corner notch is empty. Use the share as an upper bound.

Check the walkway

OROA, a furniture retailer, suggests 30 to 36 inches for main walkways and 14 to 18 inches between a sofa and a coffee table. If the 83 inch L sits with its long side on the 168 inch wall, its depth of 54.3 inches runs into the room. Add a 16 inch gap and a 24 inch table and you reach 94.3 inches, which leaves 144 − 94.3 = 49.7 inches of the 144 inch dimension for a path. The table size is our assumption, and the 49.7 inches clear the 30 to 36 inch walkway guideline by 13.7 to 19.7 inches.

Delivery and doors

The TEOYETTSF weighs 88.2 lb, the 79 inch boneless L 73.8 lb and the 6-in-1 71.8 lb. Furniture Academy says the entryway must be wider than at least one of a piece’s depth, height or diagonal depth, so measure each piece.
