Of the three we compared, the two HOOBRO tables are 29.5 inches long and about 9.5 inches deep, one open and one with two fabric drawers, and the SUPERJARE is a 39.4-inch table only 5.7 inches deep that is sold as a 78.8-inch pair with built-in outlets. Depth is the number that decides whether a table fits a tight hallway, and it also decides whether it can double as a small desk.

Two listing details need care. The first HOOBRO listing text says you can put several tables together for more storage but does not state a load limit. The SUPERJARE listing describes the 78.8-inch length as two 39.4-inch tables combined and says the top is made of three panels, so check whether you want one long piece or two short ones before you order.

Can a console table double as a small desk?

Height is close. The HOOBRO tables are 29.5 inches high, near normal desk height.
Depth is the limit. At about 9.5 inches deep, a laptop fits only if its own depth is smaller, and there is no room for a mouse or notes. The SUPERJARE at 5.7 inches is not a laptop surface at all.
Best use. A quick standing spot for a tablet or a phone-and-notebook check, not a full workday.
