A gaming desk mainly adds features (LED strips, a built-in power strip, hooks, a monitor shelf) to a normal desk, so the things to check are still size and depth. Of the three we compared, the Lufeiya 47-inch is the shallowest (19.7 inches deep) with four fabric drawers and a power strip, the Korfile 47-inch is an L-shaped desk 24 inches deep with two desktop shelves, and the 63-inch gaming desk is the widest and deepest (29.5 inches), built for a single monitor.
We have not tested these desks. Sizes, weights and features come from the Amazon listings, checked on September 29, 2026. Where a listing is silent, we say so. If you want a plainer desk, see our home office desk guide.
Six gaming desk setup ideas for a small room
- One ultrawide or one large monitor, centered. The simplest layout. It works on a 47-inch desk if the desk is deep enough to sit at least 20 inches from the screen (OSHA’s minimum, OSHA monitor guidance).
- Dual monitors on a shelf. A shelf frees the desktop for the keyboard and mouse, but check that the top of the screens stays at or slightly below eye level.
- Corner L for the console and the PC. One wing for the PC, one for a console or laptop. See our L-shaped desk guide.
- Minimal desk, hidden cables. A clear surface with the power strip and cables under the desk. See our cable management guide.
- Streaming setup. A wider desk for a microphone arm and lights. A 63-inch desk gives room.
- Desk and chair together. Plan the chair and its recline space. See our gaming chair guide.

Will your monitors fit the width?
Monitor width check
Screen diagonal and number of screens. Assumes 16:9 screens, with a 6 inch margin.
A 16:9 screen is about 87.2 percent as wide as its diagonal. Ultrawide and curved screens differ. Check the desk depth for your viewing distance.
The three desks
Lufeiya Reversible Gaming Desk with LED Lights and Power Outlets, 47 Inch
The listing describes a built-in power strip with 3 outlets and 2 USB ports, four fabric drawers that can be installed on either side, a side storage bag and two hooks, an LED strip controlled by a phone app and a monitor stand for two monitors or laptops. The table gives 19.7 by 47.2 by 33.4 inches and 36.3 lb.
- Good for: two screens and a lot of storage in a shallow footprint.
- Keep in mind: at 19.7 inches deep, the screens will sit close, so check your viewing distance. The listing gives no weight capacity.
Korfile 47 Inch L-Shaped Gaming Desk with LED and Power Outlet
The listing describes an L-shaped, reversible desk with 3 AC outlets and 2 USB ports under the monitor stand, a carbon-fibre-textured MDF top, an LED strip, two shelves underneath and two on the desktop, and a cup holder and headphone holder that can be switched. The table gives 24 by 47.2 by 35.3 inches and 38 lb.
- Good for: a corner where you want a console beside the PC, and lots of shelves.
- Keep in mind: the shelves and stand reduce flat surface, and no weight capacity appears in the text we read.
63-Inch Gaming Desk with Monitor Shelf and Headset Holders, Black
The listing describes a black carbon-fibre-like MDF top, an adjustable, removable monitor shelf for a single monitor setup, headset holders and retractable accessory and cup holders. The table gives 29.5 by 63 by 35 inches and 36.5 lb.
- Good for: a single large monitor, streaming gear and a long, deep surface.
- Keep in mind: it needs a long wall, and the bullet points we read do not state power, lighting or a weight capacity.
How to choose a gaming desk
- Depth and distance. Keep at least 20 inches from your eyes to the screen (OSHA’s minimum). A shallow desk pushes the screen close.
- Screen height. A monitor shelf raises the screen. Check that the top stays at or slightly below eye level with our monitor lift calculator.
- Built-in power. A built-in strip saves cords, but do not overload it and follow the maker’s ratings. The listings we read do not state a load rating.
- LED lighting. Check whether the lights need a phone app and how they are powered.
- Leg room. OSHA suggests at least 20 inches wide and 17 inches deep at knee level. Drawers and shelves can reduce it.
- Desk height. These are about 29.5 inches, which is high for shorter people. Use our desk height calculator.
- Chair. Pair it with a chair that fits under it. See our ergonomic chair guide and chair fit checker.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best gaming desk?
One whose size fits your screens and room. Among the three we compared, the Lufeiya has the most storage in a shallow footprint, the Korfile suits a corner, and the 63-inch desk is the widest and deepest.
What size gaming desk do I need?
For two 27-inch monitors, about 53 inches of screen width plus margin, so a 63-inch desk. Use the tool above.
Are gaming desks different from computer desks?
Mostly in features such as LEDs, hooks, cup holders and power strips. Size and stability questions are the same.
Do gaming desks need a power strip?
Not necessarily. A built-in strip saves cords, but you can use your own rated strip.
How deep should a gaming desk be?
Deep enough to sit at least 20 inches from the screen. Many people find about 24 inches workable.
